Make a difference in 60 minutes: invitation to webinar working bee on NSW EPA
Event description
NSW EPA climate change policy and action plan
DEA webinar working bee
We are in the middle of a history defining opportunity for climate action in Australia. The NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) is seeking public input into its draft Climate Change Policy and draft Climate Change Action Plan. This is an important development which has real possibilities to improve state level action on climate, and may become a precedent for other states.
How you can help – in 60 minutes
You are invited to Doctors for the Environment Australia’s webinar working bee on Monday 31st October 7.30-8.30pm AEDT to respond to the NSW EPA draft Climate Change Policy and Action Plan.
It will feature:
- A briefing from the NSW Environmental Defenders Office
- A briefing from Dr Ben Ewald, Convenor DEA Air Special Interest Group
- Small group work
At the end of the session you will have produced an individual online submission. Not bad for one hour’s work!
More information and optional background reading can be found here
We look forward to seeing you at the working bee.
