Make a Pōhutukawa Stool: Power Tools 101 - 2 Weeks, West Auckland's RE: MAKER SPACE, Saturday 2 & 9 November, 1.00pm- 3.30pm


Event description

Craft a stylish stool or plant stand with a round top from a Pōhutakawa slab in this Power Tools 101 class. 

Learn core woodworking skills, including sanders, drills and jigsaw. 

Practice the skills, techniques and get tips to create a beautiful piece of upcycled, handmade furniture you can be proud of!

There will be a health and safety briefing at the start of the workshop to inform participants of safety precautions before we begin using tools.

All participants must wear covered shoes and non-flowing clothing (tight-ish!). Some work may be outdoors, so please bring a sun hat and sunscreen

The workshop will provide the following

· Health and safety briefing

· Step-by-step use of all tools

· Personal attention where required

* Please note children are not able to attend with parents due to health and safety requirements.

* * Please note that you need to arrive on time for the health and safety briefing to be able to take part in the rest of the class.

When: Saturdays 2 Nov & 9 Nov, 1pm - 3.30pm
