Make and Meet Art Cure October
Description
The second event of a three-part workshop series, we explore Daisy Fancourt’s Art Cure by living with the book together. We read, make, move, and talk, noticing what happens when the ideas in the book are taken into hands, bodies, materials, and shared conversation.
We also invite you to bring an unfinished creative project to each session — a sketch, knitting, food prep, anything your hands can work with — or art materials to start a mindmap. As we discuss what challenges and intrigues us in the book, you will keep making. We will record the session to help us remember the language and ideas that emerge, and ask you to photograph what you create so we can gather the traces at the end.
What we generate across the three sessions – in conversation & making – will be shaped into a collective response to the book.
The book is widely available including on Spotify as an audio book.
