Make Do & Mend

Burlesque is hard work – for you and  your costumes! At some point, your costume is going to need repair, probably at the worst possible moment. Let me show you some simple hand sewing techniques to repair your costumes (and other clothes too) and keep them looking great for longer! In this hands-on class you’ll learn how to baste, mend a seam, fix a hem, patch a hole, and repair a buttonhole. 

Students will need a 12" x 12" piece of fabric (plain cotton recommended), needle and thread, and scissors. An embroidery hoop is optional.
