Make sense of the Forecast
Event description
Stroud’s already had its wettest year since records began way back in 1889, so what does the rest of 2025 have in store? And what about the years ahead?
If you live on the land, work outdoors, or just like to keep an eye on the skies, this session is for you. I will show you how to make sense of the forecast using simple but powerful, weather models and there's no technical background needed. You’ll learn how to read the patterns, compare predictions, and get a better handle on what’s really coming your way. I’ll also take you through the latest AI tools that are shaking up the forecasting game.
These tools are free, easy to use, and can give you a serious edge when it comes to planning around weather — whether it’s for farm work, events, or just day-to-day life.
What to bring:
Just bring your laptop, We’ll have Wi-Fi set up at Stroud Church, and there’ll be power points, so bring a charger if you can.
Your guide for the day:
