Makedo Launch - bird is the word

Age group: Strictly for children 5- 12 years 

Duration: 1.5 hours. 

Location: Yass Valley Library Maker Space. 

PARENTS MUST SUPERVISE CHILDREN UNDER 10

We invite children aged 5 - 12 years to join us at the Yass Valley Library for the launch of our new drop in craft and community art installation project The Bird is the Word.

This 1.5 hour workshop offers a fun and engaging environment where participants will be the first to use the new Makedo tools to create articulating birds out of cardboard and adding them to the community display . 

What participants will do during the session: 

•  Learn how to use the Makedo tools

• design a bird out of the materials provided

• Construct their birds

• add them to the installation

• build a mini take home bird out of cardstock and push pins

By the end of the class, each child will have contributed to our very first community art project in the new library and have their own mini bird as a keep sake. 

We provide all tools and materials. No prior experience is necessary
