Step Into the World of Expressive Portraiture with Bev Puckridge

Discover the power of colour, light and memory through mixed media portraiture with Bev Puckridge, a celebrated contemporary artist known for her bold compositions and distinctive style. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the expressive potential of acrylics, pencils and collage to create a unique portrait on canvas.

Guided by Bev’s expertise, the session begins with a focus on proportion, composition, and spatial awareness—essential foundations for any successful artwork. You’ll then dive into layering techniques using a variety of materials, learning how to build texture and emotion into your piece.

Whether you're new to painting or looking to expand your creative toolkit, this workshop offers a rich and rewarding experience in visual storytelling. No experience needed—just bring your curiosity and love of making.

Location: McGregor and Young Distillery 312 St Vincent Street, Port Adelaide
What to Bring: Protective apron or shirt, and disposable gloves (optional)
What’s Provided: Canvas, pencils, pens, paints, brushes, sponges, recycled papers, glue, paper towel, and mixing palettes
