Maker + Maker offers a professional exchange of creative knowledge between an expert with individuals seeking new creative experiences. Focusing on the art of making, The City of PAE invites South Australia’s best makers to guide you in creating your own piece of art.
Step Into the World of Miniatures with Joshua Smith
Discover the art of urban storytelling in miniature form with Joshua Smith, renowned Miniature Artist. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the craft of creating hyper-detailed scale models inspired by the textures and character of real-world urban environments.
Guided by Joshua’s expertise, you’ll learn how to build your own miniature wooden pallet—a small but powerful introduction to the world of miniatures. From cutting and assembling balsa wood to painting and detailing, you’ll walk away with a finished piece and the skills to keep creating. You’ll also receive a spare model kit and sticker pack to continue your miniature journey at home.
Whether you're a curious beginner or a detail-obsessed maker, this workshop offers a rewarding blend of creativity, craftsmanship, and discovery. No experience needed—just bring your focus and imagination!
