Makerspace Support 2026
Description
Want to get some advice from one of our Makerspace staff or do your Makerspace induction? Our Makerspace support appointments are designed to help you get the most out of your creative projects and ensure you can safely and confidently use the Parks Makerspace.Â
Choose from two types of 1-hour sessions tailored to your needs:
Option 1 -Â Advice for Makers
Book a personalised session with our experienced makerspace staff to receive guidance on your project. Whether you need advice on design, materials, tools, equipment, or assistance with a specific project, we're here to help you bring your ideas to life.
Please Note: We're here to help, but the making is up to you.
Option 2 -Â Makerspace Induction
Complete a safety induction session to learn the essential rules, procedures, and safe practices for using the Parks Makerspace. Once you've completed this induction, you'll gain independent access to the makerspace during access hours, allowing you to work on your projects at your own pace.
Age:Â Adults 16+ (Children 9-15 permitted if accompanied by a parent or guardian)
Price:Â FREE
Bookings: Bookings essential – spaces are limited. (Please note, bookings can only be made 2 weeks in advance)
Important Safety Information for accessing the Parks Makerspace:
The Parks Makerspace has an enclosed-toed shoe policy; staff have the right to refuse entry to the makerspace or may ask users to leave if they discover them wearing inappropriate footwear. This is our basic safety requirement for working in the makerspace.
