Making a difference with your research: CSU information session

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Your research and capabilities have huge potential to make a positive difference in the world.  They can improve our economy, our environment, our society and culture, or all of these.  As researchers, we can make a difference by partnering with industry, government and community groups.  Our research training also gives us transferrable skills that have great value to a wide variety of potential employers.  CSU is committed to giving its researchers the skills and support to drive impact partnerships and communicate these transferrable skills.  In this information session, you’ll learn about an intensive training program, Base, starting in September, that will help you develop and communicate these skills and take your research closer to impact.

This information session will help you:

  • Understand the importance of creating positive impact with your research
  • Find out about the challenging Base program, in which you’ll learn and develop these skills: who the program is aimed at, what you’ll learn from it, and the time commitment required.

Who is this session for?

This session is for CSU researchers at any career stage, in any discipline, who are interested in making a positive difference in the world with their research and capabilities.

Presenters

This information session is presented by Cruxes Innovation, the designers and presenters of the Base and Ascend research impact programs.  Cruxes helps research organisations and universities unlock the huge potential of Australian research to make a positive difference in the world.  We believe that the best way to do this is to give researchers themselves the skills and support to drive partnerships with industry, community and government.  Over the past four years, Cruxes’ founders have delivered similar programs to over 600 Australian researchers in all fields, at all stages of their careers and research projects.
