Event description

Making a Prosocial World with Dr. Paul Atkins

In our next M3CS seminar, we’ll be joined by Dr. Paul Atkins, an author and researcher whose work explores how we can live and work together more effectively. Paul is one of the cofounders of ProSocial World, a not-for-profit organisation that seeks to catalyse positive cultural change by recognising our interconnectedness and continuously improving the relationships we have with ourselves, each other and the planet.

With a background focused on practical interventions that reduce stress while enhancing wellbeing, trust, perspective-taking, and cooperation in groups and organisations, Paul brings a grounded and evidence-based approach to building more effective, connected communities..

This seminar will explore:

  • What a prosocial approach is and why it matters

  • How we can cultivate stronger, more cooperative relationships

  • Practical steps individuals and groups can take to create meaningful change

Whether you’re a community organiser, educator, leader, or simply someone interested in fostering more connection in a divided world, this conversation will offer inspiration and actionable insight.

Exploring Meditation, Meaning and the Mind:

This free monthly webinar series offers a deep dive into the realm of contemplative wisdom. Every first Thursday of the month (AEST/AEDT) at lunchtime, immerse yourself in discussions with a diverse panel of thinkers, meditators, researchers, and individuals from various wisdom traditions, discussing topics like mindful parenting, burnout, morality, and the impacts of technology on attention. These sessions, guided by Professor Craig Hassed, conclude with an interactive Q&A, giving you a unique opportunity to engage with the panellists. This series is an open invitation to explore the profound impact of contemplative practices and bridge the gap between ancient wisdom and the complexities of modern living.
