Making and Mending Monday

Making and Mending Monday is all about repairing, recreating, repurposing, restoring and reconnecting with the art of making new from old textiles.

We believe sustainable habits as common practice is important for a better future for ourselves, the planet and the next generation.

We encourage you to bring in garments that need repairing, material that you would like to repurpose, a project that you're working on, and any other textile creations or ideas you would like to work on and knowledge share with.

Connecting with people, in a safe, social and supportive space for connection, mentoring and generational learning, supports our individual and community wellbeing.

We will provide sewing tools [pins, needles, threads, scissors, measuring tapes etc], material stock, patterns, a couple of sewing machines, and other supplies that would be helpful.

Feel free to bring material/textiles, adornments and details needed for your project or repairing/repurposing task.

Morning tea also provided.
