Making Circular Bootcamp
Event description
Develop your business idea for the circular economy!
Do you have a thought bubble or business idea that you wanted to explore but didn’t know where to start? Then we would love to hear from you. The Making Circular Bootcamp is a safe space to give that idea some air and learn about the startup world in the process.
This Bootcamp is being held under the Regional Manufacturing and Circular Economy Accelerator program.
If your business idea or concept hits any of the below points, this boot camp is for you!
- Interruption of linear production of sourcing new inputs, making & disposal
- Adoption or avoidance, reuse, remanufacturing and recycling
- Utilisation of waste streams and bi-products
- Designing out redundancies in products
- Positive or improved sustainability and environmental outcomes
- Innovative approaches to traditional making/manufacturing to solve environmental problems
Bootcamp Topics:
- Learning the “Ecosystem” and networks in the start-up world
- Concepts and tools of ideation
- Critical and design thinking
- The Value Proposition and the customer
- MVP and idea validation
- Vison to Strategy
One of the side benefits, in our experience, is meeting other businesses and individuals, who are at a similar stage and working in the same theme. As a group, you will learn about the ecosystem of the sector and take the steps to bring your idea to life.
Bootcamp workshops will be held at 265 King Newcastle in The Business Centre Training Room. An online option may be available depending on demand.
