Making It Stick: Rituals for Change and Connection
Description
🗓️ 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 27 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 2026, 11 𝐚𝐦-12:30 𝐩𝐦 AEST
Most culture and change professionals know the feeling of an initiative that genuinely shifted something, then watching it lose ground as soon as the next priority arrived. This hands-on session sits with that challenge, looking at why the changes we design with such care so often struggle against everyday pressures, and what it takes to build rituals a team will keep returning to as part of how they work.
Providing a foundation in how workplace rituals can shift and shape culture, we’ll explore what rituals are, why they matter, and how to ensure the rituals you have are nudging the culture and values in the right direction.
This interactive session will have you working hands-on with the Workplace Rituals Deck, where we will surface real connection gaps, then craft a ritual to address it using the PARR Model, a framework we built alongside the deck. From there you will pressure-test the ritual against the Rituals Proof Test, a simple set of questions for working out whether a ritual will stick. Groups share their rituals and trade insights, and you will leave with a repeatable method for weaving intentional rituals into the way a team already works.

About Your Presenters

Lorissa Garcia and Lotty Roberts are the co-founders of the Workplace Rituals Deck, a practical tool for designing the small, intentional moments that shift and shape how a team connects and works over time. They built the deck out of a conviction that culture change rarely arrives through big set-piece programs, and far more often through the repeatable nudges and rituals that get woven into how a team already operates.
The deck has since grown a community of certified practitioners and found its way into the hands of people like Susan David and Esther Perel. Between them, they bring years of organisational development, change and culture practice; Lorissa as the founder of Assembly Culture and Lotty as founder of MINDU. They both share a belief that the work of shaping culture belongs in the everyday habits of a team rather than in a single intervention that a team never quite comes back to.
