Making Moves ◡̈ | Top Rock Studios, Newcastle
Event description
Ready to get off your phones and make real connections? Or maybe push yourself out of your comfort zone a little? You came to the right place. :)
Join The Third Place at Top Rock Studios for a fun afternoon of making connections through movement. Introducing: MAKING MOVES. We are thrilled to able to provide a safe space for people to come together, disconnect from our digital distractions, and reconnect with ourselves and one another. Movement serves as a powerful outlet to reconnect with ourselves and with others, and we hope you enjoy what we've prepared.
Open to the hes & shes, theys & gays. Join us for a groovy afternoon that you will thank yourself for later. Not to worry, you will still have your dedicated time for solo connection, but come prepared to move and be more social for this one. You will not want to miss this! If reading this scares you a little, then do it scared, do it solo, do it with a friend for moral support, but do it anyway.

Go Solo
Sit back and unwind by journaling, drawing, knitting, reading, or just doing nothing - anything that fills your mindfulness cup. Kindly bring your own materials to keep yourself occupied and make full use of this time with yourself. You will be sat on the studio floor, feel free to bring a small mat to sit / lay on if you choose to.
Have a Yarn
We know how important it is to have a sense of belonging and familiarity, but building genuine connections take time. This is your time to connect with other individuals over a good chat about life, a good book, board games, music, the world - literally anything that you feel like. Your social status, political stance, financial status, gender, age, does not matter here. This is where strangers become acquaintances, and maybe eventually....friends.
'Moves & Grooves' with Braeden & Georgia from Top Rock Studios.
Join Braeden and Georgia, founders of Top Rock Studio, for a 60-minute session packed with easy-to-follow dance moves and grooves that you can take anywhere. Dance is an excellent way to connect with both yourself and others while tuning into your body’s sensations. This class is beginner-friendly and open to all levels, requiring no previous dance experience. Moves & Grooves encourages you to step outside your comfort zone, try something new, and explore the mind-body connection through movement.
See you at the third place! ◡̈
