Making Observations Count: Supporting Assessment & Progress for Pupils with SEND
Description
This session is designed to support all staff in developing the knowledge and skills needed to write meaningful, high-quality learning observations for pupils with complex SEND. Participants will explore the purpose of effective observations, how they contribute to accurate assessment of learning, and how they can be used to identify progress, inform next steps, and support individual outcomes. The session will focus on capturing what matters most, ensuring observations are relevant, evidence-based and linked to learning objectives. enhancing assessment practice and reducing workload.
This module has been accredited by the NCFE and can be considered when working towards the NCFE Award. Participants are required to complete five modules, including the mandatory module.
