Making Sense: Draw
Description
DRAW: Life Drawing Workshop with Karin Mizuno
Life drawing is one of the oldest ways of paying attention. In this session, Karin Mizuno guides you through observational drawing from a live model, not to produce something perfect, but to understand, through the act of looking and marking, what you see. Whatever you make, you take home.
Through a gentle guidance and timed poses, participants will explore the fundamentals of figure drawing, including proportion, gesture, anatomy, line, and tone. Karin will provide demonstrations, practical techniques, and individual guidance to help build confidence and encourage creative expression.
Whether you're new to life drawing or looking to strengthen your practice, this workshop is an opportunity to slow down, observe closely, and enjoy the process of drawing from life.
On arrival: Complimentary snacks and hand crafted tea brewed for the event.
Duration: 2 hours
Suitable for: All experience levels, including complete beginners.
Materials provided: Drawing paper, pencils, erasers, and all other drawing materials.
Please note: This workshop features a live nude model in a respectful, studio-based environment.
