NOTICE: Still Life Drawing Workshop with Karin Mizuno
Most of us walk past the same objects every day without really looking. In this session, Karin Mizuno sets up a small still life and you draw it, slowly, with pencil, taking the time to notice light, shadow, and the space between things. No experience needed. Just the willingness to look a little longer than usual.
Participants will be guided through techniques including composition, proportion, line, light, and shadow, developing confidence in translating what they see onto paper. With step-by-step guidance and plenty of time to experiment, you'll learn how to capture form, texture, and depth while developing your own drawing style.
Whether you're picking up a pencil for the first time or looking to refine your observational drawing skills, this relaxed and supportive workshop offers the perfect opportunity to slow down, look closely, and enjoy the creative process.
On arrival: Complimentary snacks and hand crafted tea brewed for the event.
Duration: 2 hours
Suitable for: All experience levels, including complete beginners.
