Making Sense of Medical Billing: Insights for community and health service professionals
Description
Dr Margaret Faux's work focuses on making healthcare more transparent and ensuring health consumers, patients and families have the knowledge they need to navigate costs with confidence.
She is a registered nurse, lawyer, educator, researcher, and one of Australia’s foremost experts in medical billing systems, and has recently written a book – How to Avoid the Medical Bill Rip Off – that takes people through the opaque world of medical billing.
Margaret will be in WA to share her detailed expert knowledge, so that everyone can make fully informed decisions about medical costs, and unfair practices can be addressed.
In this session you will get to meet with Margaret and others working in the community and health sector, to learn about some of the ways people can manage their healthcare costs, including ensuring full use of existing safety nets. Margaret will also be able to answer questions about common healthcare billing challenges.
You’ll have the chance to submit any specific questions when you register.
Should you wish to purchase a copy of Margaret’s book you can pick one up from the event, or head to her website https://drmargaretfaux.com/e-books/
