Making the Literacy Curriculum Work for Diverse Learners
Description
Join CSV for a workshop to explore simple, practical ways volunteers can support elementary students in accessing CKLA, Cambridge’s literacy curriculum. Ana Younis, Biliteracy Coach at the Amigos School in Cambridge, will start with a brief overview of what we’ve learned after our first year of CKLA implementation and then dive into concrete scaffolds that help diverse learners succeed in reading and writing. Volunteers will leave with ready-to-use strategies they can apply during their next session with students.
This workshop is open to all volunteers (preschool-12) but will be most relevant to elementary-volunteers.
