Description

Join Ben Humphries from BirdLife Australia and learn the ways you can make your property more welcoming to birds, and then visit a Wooragee property to see how this could happen on the ground.

The morning will

  • start inside the hall with a look at what are the main principles and practices- what do different birds need,

  • morning tea and looking at resources that will help you plan

  • a visit to a nearby property to see how they could plan their property

Please be at the hall ready to start at 9 am.

Woodland birds in particular are seriously under threat and private properties can have a huge impact helping to protect them. These birds are not only a joy to have on our property, they help with balancing insect populations, pollination and many other services. We can see very quick results for our efforts.

What to bring

  • notebook

  • sturdy covered shoes and clothes suitable for the weather outside.

  • binoculars if you have them

Wooragee Landcare will provide morning tea and we will have finished by lunch time.
