Bushcare for Beginners at Malabar Wetlands
Event description
Join our friendly Bushcare Team for an afternoon's introduction to ecosystem restoration, friendly conversations and afternoon tea at Malabar Wetlands.
Bring the kids (7+) along and immerse yourselves in this relatively unknown wetland – a rare, safe haven for frogs, reptiles and birds, just a stones throw from Malabar shops.
Work guided by Randwick’s knowledgeable Bushcare Office alongside like-minded community volunteers in the shade of towering gums to pull back smothering vines and pave the way for a diverse understorey planting.
Bushcare is great exercise for all bodies, an opportunity to connect with place and people within your local area and together create a more resilient, biodiverse Randwick!
