Malaghans Valley Protection Society Fundraiser
Event description
On Friday, 15 March, from 6:00 PM, Waikākā Church is hosting a fundraiser to help protect Malaghans Valley from opportunistic development. Gather a team of six and put your knowledge to the test in a lively quiz night. If you don’t have a full team, join an open table, where you can meet new people and enjoy a shared platter. Every ticket includes a delicious sharing platter for your table.
Throughout the evening, enjoy drinks from the bar, live music, and the chance to step onto the deck to take in the breathtaking views of Malaghans Valley. A highlight of the night will be the live auction, featuring an incredible selection of items generously donated by our community. These include a one-of-a-kind Ivan Clarke painting of Malaghans Valley, created exclusively for this event, along with Fiordland cruises, luxury wine tours, private wine collections, back-country overnight stays, and more.
All proceeds from ticket sales, the bar, and the auction will go to the Malaghans Valley Protection Society (MVPS). These funds will support expert research and legal action to oppose Coronet Village, a large-scale fast-track development that threatens the valley’s natural beauty, lacks necessary infrastructure, and poses risks to the health of Lake Hayes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to have a fun night out while making a real difference. Gather your team, secure your tickets, and join us in protecting Malaghans Valley for generations to come.
