Mama Circle | Sunday 21 July

Mama Circle is a place for you to be; an opportunity to gently journey inwards, to practice receiving love and being seen, for empowerment and activation, to share our collective stories and experiences within the birth space and beyond. Whether you are a mother-to-be, a mother postpartum, a woman caregiver/birth worker, or simply curious about birth, please feel welcome to join us for a morning of connection and community.

When:   Sunday 21st July

Time:    9:30 - 11:00am

Where: The Soul Connect, 43 Maple Street, Maleny (below Monica's Cafe)

Investment: By Donation. BOOKINGS essential.

Your presence is what we value most, however, for the sustainability of our monthly Mama Circles, we are now requesting a donation when you attend. Please choose the donation amount that is suitable for you. All donations are applied directly to ongoing event costs in a sustainable way. Thank you for helping us continue to serve our community, we are grateful for your support.

$5 to contribute towards the beautiful venue

$10 to contribute towards the venue and morning tea

$20 to contribute towards the venue, morning tea, materials and guest facilitators for future circles

Or an amount of your own choosing.

• Grounding meditation, light movement + breath work

We aim to hold these circles fortnightly or monthly with guest facilitators, and would love for you to join us for this launch event.  At this month's circle, we will draw the special Mama Circle Hamper.

A little more about Mama Circle:

These circles were borne from my own postpartum experience and subsequent conversations with other mothers in the following years where we realised our common shared stories of isolation, need for greater support, and the challenges and learnings of the transition from maiden to mother, amongst others. So many thoughts, feelings, experiences that were largely unspoken of for various reasons - a sense of taboo, shame, guilt, embarrassment, societal and cultural expectations, right way or wrong way, and the way we think we should be after birth and so on. 

My deeply heartfelt wish for these circles is to offer a space and opportunity for reconnection to your innate wisdom, reignite your inner fire and magic, to remember and discover the beauty and essence of your soul, for your connection with others through shared story, to help build your wider network, your village for you and your family with other mothers, other practitioners of modalities to support your motherhood journey, and the elders of our community. And I know Tara and the many women (and men too) I have spoken to within our community, who have their own skills, knowledge and wisdom to share, share the same vision.

Some of the offerings for future gatherings include:

• Learning the knowledge and wisdom of different traditional birth and postpartum practices
• Create through art & craft with the many amazing local artists
• Connect through movement, such as dance, yoga, qi gong
• Raise your voice through Voice Activation and Song Circle
• And, time to sit, share, listen, and learn from our elders within the community.

I’m super excited to share this beautiful time and space with you, for all of us, together.
