Managing performance and team dynamics
Description
Managing performance and team dynamics can quickly become the part of your role you avoid.
You are balancing delivery, competing priorities, and team wellbeing – often without much space to prepare for difficult conversations. Left too long, small issues become patterns. Tension builds. Trust erodes. And what could have been straightforward becomes formal and time-consuming.
This workshop gives you practical ways to address performance, behaviour, and conflict early – before they escalate.
You will practise how to start and structure performance conversations without overcomplicating them. You will learn to spot the real source of conflict – not just the surface behaviour – and respond in ways that are fair, clear, and steady. The focus is on reducing second-guessing, protecting working relationships, and avoiding unnecessary escalation.
You will walk away with:
A clear structure for holding performance conversations without over-preparing or over-talking
Language you can use to address behaviour directly and fairly
A way to identify the underlying cause of conflict – not just the visible symptoms
A practical approach to responding early so issues do not escalate
Greater clarity about when to coach, when to redirect, and when to formalise
