The June Network Meeting will feature Standard 3 of the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement which focuses on Volunteer Roles.

Let’s explore how your organisation currently meets, or aligns to, Standard 3, and listen to shared practice from other attendees – complete the self-assessment and see what you are currently doing in alignment to this standard, and identify the areas that are out of reach and understand for what reason, you may also discover opportunities to adjust, improve or do something a different way!

Standard 3: Volunteers Roles, looks at ensuring that volunteers are engaged in meaningful roles which contribute to the organisation’s purpose, goals, and objectives.

When thinking about the volunteer program you manage/coordinate, how do you approach the following?

• Are your roles designed to support the organisations purpose, goals and objectives?
• Ae the roles defined, documented, and communicated?
• Can volunteers review and provide feedback about the roles?  
• Are your volunteer roles appropriate for the organisation and those impacted by the service of the organisation?
