Join NRM North and weed contractor, Axel Meiss, for a regionally-focused workshop on the identification and management of Chilean needlegrass.

You will:

Learn how to identify Chilean needlegrass in comparison to native grasses
Learn about the weed's legal status and integrated management options
Have input into the first of 10 Weed Action Plans developed specifically for the Furneaux Islands
Develop practical, collaborative strategies for managing Chilean needlegrass at the property scale.

Lunch will be provided, please advise of any dietary requirements.

This workshop is part of the WAF Furneaux Island Project, targeting priority weeds on the Furneaux Islands by providing education and training to local landholders to increase their capacity to self-manage weed infestations. Thank you to our workshop hosts, Pippa and Peter Frost.
