Managing Eco-Anxiety
Event description
Eco-anxiety and concerns about our future can affect well-being, or cause distress.
Living sustainably and encouraging others to avoid waste can be a challenge at the best of times, and being in the middle of a pandemic, only adds to it.
Everyone is feeling it, in different ways. You might be putting on a strong face for others. Maybe you're giving care to those who need support, or you have kids schooling from home. And on top of that there's the work situation and doing what you can to be waste-conscious. Yes, it's a lot to keep thinking about.
Are you
- Trying to reduce waste and keep living sustainably
- Feeling limited with the pandemic situation
- Supporting the wellbeing of others
- Frustrated with the excessive waste people create
- Worrying about, or overthinking this, again and again
It's tough for everyone, but you need to STOP OVER-THINKING. Your wellbeing is important and it's time for you to rebalance, with a little self-care, so you can stay strong through all this, for yourself or for others.
This mindfulness session will help refocus your inner eco-warrior, and rebalance the calm to find the strength you need, as we face the stressors, anxiety, frustration and all the rubbish that the pandemic has thrown our way.
This session is led by Rachel Sietzema, a Mindset Coach who helps people navigate the feeling of overwhelm, manage life’s stresses, and uncover their true confidence. She takes a holistic approach towards sustainability and empowers people to take a balanced approach while being environmentally conscious and inspiring others.
Moderated by Kirsty Bishop-Fox, a sustainability and waste consultant, advocating environmental awareness to transform the approach to waste, recycling and sustainable living. Kirsty specialises in environmental behaviour change and education programs to support community engagement and sustainability initiatives.
