Auckland Cocktail Week: Breath-Powered Gaming for Mental Fitness Presented by Healthy Hospo
Description
In hospitality, we’re trained to keep going through late nights, high-volume service, and taking care of everyone else in the room. But long-term resilience comes from knowing how to reset, regulate, and recover.
As a part of Auckland Cocktail Week, Healthy Hospo and Manana Interactive team up to bring you the opportunity to play an exhilarating mindfulness game.
Featured on Radio New Zealand and TVNZ Breakfast, the game invites players to experience recovery in a completely different way: by playing a video game powered by your breath.
The digital game helps players practise relaxation skills in real time while seeing the direct impact their breathing has on a gameplay and their bodies. Practising these skills helps build your resilience and ability to perform under pressure.
How the event will run:
The session will involve 40 minutes of gameplay and a 40 minute workshop session to reflect on how you're playing 'the game of life', exploring practical tools for managing stress, plus time to connect with others.
You'll also be able to compete on the day to win subscriptions of the game for local schools.
What you need to bring:
Nothing! We will provide devices and chest straps. Bring your windows laptop if you'd like to get a free copy of the game for 6 months.
Only 26 spaces available.
