We are very excited to announce our first Manawa Hui!

Creative Flow // Tall Poppies Storytelling is an immersive event designed to unleash your creativity and connect you with a supportive community.

This evening promises to be a blend of movement, improvisation, and heartfelt storytelling.

-Doors open at 6pm-

Opening Circle

Creative Exercises: Expressive activities that ignite your creativity and prepare you for deeper storytelling.

Movement Warm-Up: Begin with gentle movements to awaken your body and connect with your breath, setting the stage for a relaxed and open state of mind.

Improv Prompts:Engage in playful improvisation exercises that spark spontaneity and break down barriers, fostering a sense of freedom and joy.

Tall Poppies Storytelling:You are invited to prepare a five to seven-minute true story about yourself, centered around the theme Manawa/heart/

- Most of the audience will just watch, but seven names will be drawn to share their stories. If you feel inspired, prepare a story and give it a go!

- Here are some tips for preparing your story:

- Use the broad theme to inspire memories of personal, life-changing experiences.

- Choose one of your most memorable moments and share the leading up and aftermath.

- Humor is welcome, but not necessary. Authentic voices are powerful on stage.

- Write it down to get it to five minutes and pinpoint the most crucial moments to include.

Closing Circle: Reflect and share your experiences in a supportive circle, ending with a gratitude exercise and a calming meditation to help you transition back to your daily life.

Manawa Hui is a safe space where we as "non" artists (if you ask us, we are all artists!) get to be creative, be heard, seen, and form authentic connections through the arts.
