Manawa Nights—A Night With Our Founder, Britt Davies
Event description
Manawa Nights is a speaker series curated to foster a community of ladies who love the outdoors, or would like to gain confidence in the outdoors. This could mean you love walks on the beach, or it could mean you love adventure racing—our doors are open to all walks of life and backgrounds! Please join us to listen to these talks, or to meet other awesome wāhine toa!
This month's speaker is Manawa founder, Britt Davies.
Brittany has spent the last decade navigating the highs and lows of balancing life, work, and wellbeing—from design school and corporate jobs to running her own business, travelling the world, and finding herself in the mountains of Wānaka. Her story weaves through mental health challenges, big moves (including a stint in the Aussie Outback), breakups, business wins and losses, and ultimately—where she is now in starting Manawa | Wāhine Outdoor Pursuits.
In this open-heart kōrero, Britt will share how her passion for hunting and conservation has grown, the story of getting her first Red stag (amongst other yarns) and how her journey always brings her back to being in the outdoors. Britt will touch on her desire to bring ladies together to experience something new and how that has been influenced by her involvement with the Fiordland Wapiti Foundation.
Surrounded by the semi-rural outlook of the Manawa HQ property, get ready for a cozy night under the stars!
