About Rural Support Trust

There are fourteen independent Rural Support Trusts supporting rural communities throughout the country. These Trusts provide free and confidential assistance to rural people facing challenges related to adverse events, on farm technical support, financial challenges, relationships, health and wellbeing, animal welfare, and employment matters.

Rural Support Trusts have experienced, trained rural facilitators who understand the pressures and challenges that come with living rurally and making a livelihood from the land. We sit around the table with rural people and support them to find workable solutions so they can navigate a way forward.

About Mangakahia Rugby Club

Entrenched in a rich rugby history, Mangakahia has grown from strength to strength with over 200 players across the Senior Mens, IMB and JMB grades. We have a solid whānau community who volunteer their time to make each season successful and enjoyable for all. With growing numbers means growing costs, particularly with equipment and maintenance. The club appreciates having the opportunity to raise funds for these types of costs, working alongside Rural Support Trust Northland and Mangakahia Squash Club in hosting what will be a stellar night with the impressive guest speaker panel!

About Mangakahia Squash Club

Thank you for supporting Mangakahia Squash Club! Founded in 1976, we aim to support a healthy, active, and social community with more than 100 members currently. Mangakahia Squash Club has a weekly club draw, Junior coaching and development program and we host annual Junior and Open tournaments. Our goal this year is to begin the, much anticipated, renovations to the toilet and changing facilities following through to the addition of a brand new third court. Your ticket purchase directly contributes towards the fundraising for this goal and the club thanks you, again, for your support. Many thanks, also, to the Mangakahia Rugby Club and Rural Support Trust Northland. Enjoy!

Both clubs operate out of the Mangakahia Sports & Community Complex - contact information can be found here.
