AUSTRALIA'S VERY OWN INDIGENOUS WELLNESS PRACTICE IS HERE!
(It's like Tai Chi or Yoga, but 100% Australian owned and created)

Join us for a very special, unique and powerful presentation and practice of Australia's very first and ONLY Indigenous Wellness Modality Practice - incorporating Ancient Wisdom and Wellness Techniques, known to Indigenous Australians for over 80,000 years.

We will begin the practice by examining our connection to earth and how to improve it, at 7:30pm (exactly), followed by the slow movement earth connection indigenous wellness practice (standing or sitting or lying down - at your own capacity).

The time of day this is held is to coincide with the sunset at 8:05pm (we start at 7:30pm exactly). So we will be practicing in the twilight time. The Moonrise at 3:20am and the Moonset at 5:45pm will have already happened on the day.

This is an accredited workshop, approved for teaching in Early Learning Centres and is registered with international organisations since 2014 - and it's the only one of its kind in the world!  You get to experience in Sydney, for one night only.

ABOUT YOUR WORKSHOP LEADER:

Jen is an ACCREDITED Indigenous Wisdom and Wellness Practitioner (with Diploma) as well as a licensed Early-Learning Facilitator, teaching both adults and children all about creating a more meaningful relationship with earth, nature and self, in fun and engaging ways.

She is also a multiple best-selling AUTHOR (and Professional Presenter), with her most recent book written during Melbourne lockdowns titled "Sacred Whale Connections of Indigenous Australians". She presents this fascinating and spiritually enriching research during Retreats she holds all around Australia, during the Whale Migration Season.

Combining her own spirit and soul evolution from life experiences, Jen draws on her clumsy and funny journey as a Visual ARTIST to also include Intuitive Art Parties during these Retreats - that hels you unlock more of your own true potential. It's a NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY process, and it's social and fun and will surprise, honour, reflect and respect more of your true self.

It is her aim to also incorporate ACTIVE PHILANTHROPY when possible in to the Retreat Schedule, giving back whilst gaining so much, and leaving a positive impact as well as a minimal footprint wherever we go. This was Jen's dedicated work, with indigenous communities all around the world up, until the Pandemic shut down in 2020. Now she's focussing on Australia and helping to strengthen the connection between our original people and the colonised.

You can view all upcoming Workshops and Retreats here: https://events.humanitix.com/o...  You can purchase an Annual Membership instead of a one-off workshop which includes 10 x Workshops (Wellness OR Art, Online or In person) and 1 x 3-day Retreat of your choosing, usually $780, but discounted by a whopping 30%, to $545 if purchased through this Workshop, (which counts as your 1st of 10, inclusive).

ABOUT MANLY ABORIGINAL HERITAGE:

  • Manly is situated on the land of the Gayemagal people (Cannalgal and Kayimai clans), the traditional owners of this land.
  • The Gayemagal lived in the Manly area and thrived due to the abundance of food resources like fish, shellfish and animals. Evidence of these can be found in the middens all over the coastal area.
  • Aboriginal people are part of the oldest surviving continuous culture in the world.
  • Early relations between the first colonists and the Gayemagal people quickly soured.
  • In 1789 a Smallpox epidemic spread through the local Aboriginal population.
  • By the 1830s, only a few Aboriginal people remained in the Manly area.
  • Recorded Aboriginal sites include shelter, midden sites, rock engravings, open midden sites, shelter cave art and open camp sites.
  • For more historical information, please visit www.aboriginalheritage.org.

Manly was named by Captain Arthur Phillip for the Indigenous people living there, stating that "their confidence and manly behaviour made me give the name of Manly Cove to this place". These men were of the Kayimai clan (of the Dharug-speaking Gayemagal people).

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and work and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
