Welcome to Ecstatic Sound Circle Open Mic Kirtan - Hosted by Mantra Lounge.

Ecstatic Sound Circle is improvisational and collaborative. Local singers and musicians come to share their passion for shamanic, kirtan and multifaith music.

Sing and play, listen and be listened to... feel the delight of co-creating a soundscape.

Each journey is unique and we thank everyone who joins and shares their energy and talents in this collective experience.

Whether showcasing your style, emerging as a musician, or just finding your voice... you are welcome.

Ecstatic Arts is a not-for-profit collective of musicians and artists. We volunteer to co-create sacred arts events across many cultures, faiths and languages and have no specific religious affiliations.

The mantras and songs/kirtan are designed to take you into deep states of bliss and relaxation, benefits include:

• The vibrations created by chanting completely settle your nervous system, promoting relaxation and reducing anxiety.

• Many shlokas and chants convey messages of gratitude, compassion, and self-awareness, uplifting your spirit.

• The sound vibrations of specific syllables in Sanskrit align with your body’s energy centers (chakras) which can improve your breathing, enhance your vocal clarity, and harmonize your body’s vibrations.

• Rhythmic chanting slows down your breath and naturally creates a meditative state.

• Similar to mindfulness or affirmations, this repetition calms your mind, reduces stress, and enhances focus.

• Shlokas and mantras explore universal themes like love, peace, and wisdom, fostering a sense of connection to something greater.

• Mantras provide a bridge to understanding ancient wisdom traditions and connect you to your heart.

Mantra Lounge

Mantra Lounge will take you on a musical journey. Together we will be singing Kirtan/ Mantras in Sanskrit as well as singing uplifting songs in English. We will provide lyrics and simple verses for you to follow should you wish to sing along. We warmly invite you to give it a go :)

We like to bring some extra modern creativity and fun to Kirtan, often mashing up pop songs and mantras, beatboxing, dressing up and creating a beautiful and inviting space.
