Māori cultural coaching | Ako Course

This online course is designed to support Māori cultural awareness and practice of the Māori learning/ teaching methodology of Ako (learn-teach). Engage in the six multi-media kōwae/ modules of work in your own time and place with the support of an experienced cultural coach.

The course can be completed in approximately 10 hours of self-directed online learning. The expected completion time is about 6 weeks with additional time for cultural coaching as required. 

A reflective practice task is completed at the end of each course that will reward you with a valuable digital badge.

Billing information

We accept payments by card or by invoice. At checkout you will be able to choose your payment option. Invoices are raised by Massey University on behalf of Ako Aotearoa so please note that there will be a delay between registering for the event and receiving the invoice.

PLEASE NOTE: Invoices are limited to payment from registered tertiary organisations only

If you would like to pay by invoice, before registering, please find out from your finance team:

• the billing address and the email address you would like the invoice sent to.
• whether or not you require a purchase number, if a purchase order number is required, please email accounts@ako.ac.nz after registering with the order number in the subject line.

If you are registering other people, please make sure to select 'Email tickets to each attendee' on the registration form so that each person receives their unique access to the online course/workshop.
