From Maps to Management: Geospatial Skills for Landholders

Wodonga Urban Landcare Network's Healthy Hectares program invites you to join us for a hands-on workshop exploring how digital mapping can support your farm planning and property management.

Building on previous farm planning and management workshops and field days, this workshop will support landholders to understand and implement basic geospatial skills to develop digital property maps and more.

The day will start with an introduction to geospatial concepts and mapping tools, followed by a hands-on session after lunch where you'll create your own digital maps. Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

No prior mapping experience is needed — the day is designed for beginners, and the session will be shaped around what participants most want to learn. When you register for this event, you will be provided with a link to a short survey that will help us gain an understanding of your current geospatial knowledge and usage needs. Participants answers to these questions will help dictate how the day will run and the information that will be covered.

If you have already created physical maps of your property through previous Healthy Hectares workshops, please bring these along on the day!

This workshop will be facilitated by Ana Horta (Associate Professor in Geospatial Science at Charles Sturt University) and Lily Neyland (Project Officer with Wodonga Urban Landcare Network).
