Self-described boofhead from Canberra, Stuart Harris takes a photo of a spider in Namadgi National Park and posts it online. Scientists, including spider expert Dr Jurgen Otto, find the photo and tell him it might be an undiscovered species. All he has to do go back and find it so it can be described and named. There follows an epic three-year quest in which Stuart discovers much more than he sets out to. This is a story of remarkable determination, self-discovery and the power of citizen science to reveal nature’s most extraordinary hidden wonders.
