Marble Paint Effects Workshop
Event description
Marble Paint Effects Workshop
Learn to create hand painted marble effects!
Produce realistic results using classic brushwork and tooling to imitate various natural stone and marble. No resin pours here!
This is a half day workshop for beginners and is suitable for adults of all ages.
The session is hosted by Jason Kemmis who is a professional restorer and refinisher of antique furniture and heritage homes. Watch as Jason demonstrates the techniques before crafting your own masterpieces!
We'll use a variety or handtools, brushes and low VOC paints to replicate the natural beauty of marble and stone.
Aside from enjoying the creative session on the day, you'll have learned the skills and knowledge necessary for creating and applying these hand painted finishes to furniture, artworks and decorative architectural features. Just imagine painting a marble top on your old bedside tables, refinishing your kitchen benchtop, a laundry splash back or those old balustrades along the staircase!
Our workshops are held in and around The Old South Arm School built in 1880!
