March 2020 HCD Practitioners Meetup (NSW Govt)
Event description
Hi Human-Centred Designers,
We're happy to invite you to our second human-centred design practitioners meetup for 2020 —this month being hosted by our friends at UTS.
This event will now be held online. We'll have some more details for you about how to join the remote session early next week
This is a space for government HCD practitioners, innovation teams & service designers to listen, learn and network.
We have three sessions planned with presenters from UTS.
- Talk 1: Designing with the people
The importance of ethics in designing with vulnerable cohorts, cultural change and physical design of space to accommodate patient and staff needs.
- Talk 2: Thriving community partnerships
A systems approach to helping people have fair access to services using a cross-sector collaborative approach: https://thriving.org.au/
- Games time: A game of convergent and divergent thinking
We will also run through other community announcements and we'll make time for tea, coffee, snacks and networking.
We believe in and practice access and inclusion
We are committed to inclusion and we appreciate the experience of inclusion is not the same for everyone. Please let us know what we can do to make this event accessible and inclusive for you.
