2025 SYDNEY MARDI GRAS - COASTAL TWIST FLOAT

Our float this year is a dynamic call to action for the community to strive to be warriors and mentors for our upcoming Large local LGBTQIA youth community

The visual of the float is split into two elements – the youth on and around the truck calling out for a hero (the song I need a hero will represent their call to action). Behind the float will come the rest of the marchers in a visual metaphor of the community backing up our youths and the song Warrior’ will represent the community answering their call to action. The float itself will feature a silver holographic divider with Roman style columns in each corner and a Roman archway in the centre of each side.

All ages welcome, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, carer, sibling etc.

Mandatory Float info & Open Day -  Saturday January 11th 10am  - 11am

Costume Workshops:

Saturday January 11th:  11am - 2pm

Saturday January 18th: 10am - 12pm

Saturday January 25th: 1pm - 3pm

Sunday February 2nd: 9am - 11pm

Sunday February 9th: 9am- 11pm

Mandatory Dress Rehearsal & Media Day - Sunday 23rd February 10am - 12pm

Mardi Gras Parade Day - Saturday March 1st: 1pm- 11pm
