During the day there will be a rare opportunity: a live truffle hunt demonstration by Sadie, the spirited truffle dog who unearthed this season’s first treasures from the newly inoculated trees at Bettenay Estate. Guided by her handler, guests will see firsthand how these underground delicacies are discovered—adding a new layer of appreciation before they appear shaved over pasta or infused into dessert.
Indulge in a lavish foodie journey with our exclusive 6-course Truffle Degustation Lunch, a gastronomic celebration dedicated to the revered essence of truffles. Nestled overlooking the Bettenays lake and vineyard, enjoy a long lunch with friends. Our menu will be prepared by renowned Chef Glen Hagger. Moira and Guy from Margaret River Gourmet Truffle are producers of Black Perigord truffles. Guy has a passion for truffles and their truffles are harvest from the the first truffle orchard in the Cape region. Guy will be joining our long table lunch to share with us a little more about the revered truffle.
