Making her International Brisbane Jazz Festival and JMI Live debut, Mariana Verna presents Unrequited Love (And Other Things).

Taking an intimate musical journey through songs held near and dear, Unrequited Love (And Other Things) explores the treacherous ups and downs of relationships through standards we all may have cried to at some point. Influenced by Sarah Vaughan, Kurt Elling, and April Varner, Mariana blends her classic jazz warmth with a strong bite, bringing a fresh, unique sound to the stage.

This show will explore some classic love and heartbreak-themed standards from the Great American Songbook, plus a few deep cuts flavoured with Mariana's own twist. From infatuation to betrayal (and every messy emotion in between), join Mariana for an evening of romance accompanied with a friend, a lover, or maybe a strong drink.
