Event description

We are so excited to welcome Marin Teen Touring Company back this year for a performance of MacBeth. Coming to the Valley on their tour of schools, senior communities  and community venues across Marin and beyond, Teen Touring Company presents this 50-minute adaptation of  Shakespeare's supernatural tragedy, MACBETH, directed by Valley local Elana Kepner.  Join us for this spooky tale of fate, magic, murder, and madness, filled with sword fights, witches, ghosts, and, of course, Shakespeare's beautiful language.

This year the performance will take place at the Community Center in the Valley Room or the Courtyard (weather pending)

CONTENT ADVISORY: While we do our best to modify the language and fight scenes so younger and more sensitive viewers can enjoy the performance, the core of Shakespeare’s play remains intact. Each school community should use its discretion when determining which grades should view the play. Macbeth is a supernatural tragedy with several violent, on-stage murders, discussions of war, murder, and suicide, portrayals of trauma and mental illness, and ghosts and witches.  Prop weapons are used but there will be no stage blood. Overtly suggestive language has been changed or cut. Suggested for audiences in 5th Grade and up.
