Marine Science Monday - talking SHARKS with Amy Smoothey
Event description
Each month, dive into the underwater world with our Ocean Youth webinars!
Hosted by an Ocean Youth alumni, this is your chance to meet marine experts, learn about weird and wonderful sea-critters, and catch up with your fellow ocean loving youth!
There will be time for questions at the end of each webinar.
This month, we're talking with Dr Amy Smoothey!Â
Sharks fascinate and frighten us and the fear is often associated with a fear of the unknown. Dr Amy Smoothey, a Shark Scientist at NSW Department of Primary Industries, has for over 12 years spent her days (and nights) researching these fascinating animals to understand when, where and why sharks are in certain areas to help protect sharks and keep people safe. Amy joins us on 6th December to present some of the latest research from the NSW Shark Program where she will be unlocking the secret life of sharks.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
