Event description

A Workshop for Pastors Seeking Fresh Vision & Real Impact

Is your church truly thriving?

Many pastors are deeply committed to their calling but struggle to see the impact they long for. Marks of a Healthy & Effective Church is a practical and encouraging workshop designed to help you assess, refine, and strengthen your church’s spiritual health, leadership effectiveness, and kingdom impact.

What You’ll Gain:

✅ A Clear Picture of Church Health – Receive a Church Health Snapshot, developed in partnership with NCLS, to gain objective insights into your church’s strengths and growth areas.
✅ Biblical Strategies for a Flourishing Church – Explore the four dynamics of church health: Vital Faith, Leadership, Belonging, and Mission—rooted in biblical wisdom and practical tools.
✅ Clarity & Direction for Your Ministry – Identify key areas where small shifts can create lasting transformation in your congregation.
✅ Support Without Pressure – This isn’t about selling you a program—it’s about walking alongside you to help untangle challenges and breathe fresh momentum into your leadership.
✅ A Kingdom-Minded Approach to Church Unity – Discover how your church fits into the broader mission of what God is doing in Perth, fostering collaboration rather than isolation. This is an opportunity to meet other leaders and grow together in serving our city.

What to Expect?

This workshop offers you—and your key leaders, if they attend—a dedicated, facilitated space to step back from the busyness of ministry and strategically reflect on every aspect of your church. It’s a rare opportunity to think, plan, and assess together, gaining clarity on your church’s health and direction in a way that isn’t always possible in the day-to-day of leadership.

Enjoy a refreshing morning of insight and discussion, with morning tea provided, and we’ll wrap up before lunch.

Who’s Leading This?

This workshop is facilitated by accredited Partners in Ministry (PIM) facilitators, Mark Godfrey & Emily Dickinson—seasoned leaders with decades of experience helping churches grow in health and effectiveness.

Mark Godfrey:
Mark has over 20 years of leadership experience and a deep passion for equipping churches and leaders for greater impact. With a strong missional and prophetic calling, he is dedicated to supporting churches both locally and globally. As a registered therapist and professional clinical supervisor, he specializes in ministry effectiveness and leader wellbeing, offering 1:1 coaching and strategic support to help church leaders thrive. Holding a Bachelor in Social Science with majors in Applied Counselling and Supervision, Mark brings both practical wisdom and spiritual insight to his work. He believes that life with God is meant to be enjoyed, not endured, and he is deeply committed to strengthening local churches and their leaders. Happily married with three amazing children, Mark’s heart is to see healthy leaders building flourishing churches.

Emily Dickinson:
Emily has 12 years of pastoral experience across various ministry roles, combined with a background in mental health, leadership coaching, and executive consultancy. With expertise in church leadership, theology, professional supervision, and social work, Emily is uniquely positioned to support pastors in deepening their spiritual journey and increasing their leadership effectiveness. Her work with small and medium-sized churches, business owners, and multi-million-dollar organizations gives her a broad perspective on leadership, team culture, and ministry development.
