The 2026 Churchill Hospital Trust Marlborough Sports Awards celebrates the people, performances, and contributions that make Marlborough one of New Zealand's proud sporting regions. As one of the region's longest-standing sporting traditions, the awards bring together athletes, teams, coaches, volunteers, supporters, and community leaders to recognise excellence, dedication, and achievement at every level of sport.

Held at the Marlborough Events Centre, this prestigious evening showcases the very best of Marlborough sport, from emerging young talent and grassroots champions to athletes and teams competing on national and international stages. It is an opportunity for the wider community to come together and celebrate the successes, commitment, and sporting spirit that continue to shape our region.

We are delighted to welcome Tony Lyall as MC for the 2026 Churchill Hospital Trust Marlborough Sports Awards. Originally from Blenheim, Tony is an accomplished broadcaster, comedian, and presenter with a long-standing connection to the region. Having previously hosted the Marlborough Sports Awards, Tony's humour, energy, and local roots make him the perfect person to guide us through an evening celebrating the achievements and contributions of the Marlborough sporting community.

A highlight of the evening is the presentation of the Marlborough Medal, the region's highest sporting honour. This prestigious award recognises an individual whose lifetime contribution has left a lasting impact on Marlborough sport and the communities it serves.

More than an awards ceremony, this is a celebration of the people who make sport thrive in Marlborough.
