HAVEN WELCOMES MARLEY SHERMAN, TAYA, & JOSS

Haven is stoked to welcome some very familiar faces to the Haven floor from Sydney and Northern Rivers including Taya known for a variety of genre bending flavours and known favourite of the Australian doof circuit as well as ex SASH heads, Marley Sherman and Joss Foley, bringing their minimal and rare groove style.

TAYA

With 20 years’ experience, TAYA first started producing electronic music and DJing from the ripe age of nine, though the last few years have been the most monumental. 2017 saw his skill and determination win Beatport’s first Beats In School Producer Competition in conjunction with Yousef’s Circus Recordings. From there, TAYA has gone from closing Australia’s biggest festival Splendour In The Grass, to studio sessions with Carl Cox, and winner of Doorly & Colour Castle’s remix competition. While also being the newest member of the world-renowned label, Circus Recordings, with his fated debut now out and other multiple charting releases already under his belt.

MARLEY SHERMAN

Eora based disk jockey, occasional producer and a music obsessive since a young age, Marley has been a strong fixture in the city’s underground scene since 2015.

Eora based disk jockey, occasional producer and a music obsessive since a young age, Marley has been a strong fixture in the city’s underground scene since 2015.

As an avid digger of all groove based music, Marley has amassed an enviable record collection and a DJ resume to match; holding residencies and monthly sets at some of the best clubs and events down-under.

A deejay not limited to one sound, his selections are filled with quirky melodies, vintage basslines and delivered with airtight mixing.

His deep knowledge of music & many hours spent in-and-around the dancefloor has seen Marley share the decks with some of the best, including Sonja Moonear, Delano Smith & Quest; to name just a few.

On the production front, his first remix was released on vinyl via Brawther’s “Interweaved” label in March 2023, with more music to come. Watch this space.
