The Kimberley Foundation invites you to a Briefing in Melbourne by Marninwarntikura Women’s Resource Centre (MWRC), based in Fitzroy Crossing, Western Australia.
Emily Carter is the CEO of Marninwarntikura Women’s Resource Centre (MWRC). She’s aGooniyandi Kija woman, from the Kimberley region of WA. Her commitment is to improve the lives of First Nation’s women, children and their families in the Fitzroy Valley and beyond.
Emily and senior staff will discuss the:
- Key issues impacting the lives of First Nations people in the Kimberley;
- Innovative programs being implemented and the results;
- MWRC’s vision and plans for the future;
- Ongoing impact of recent floods and the long road to recovery;
- Importance of The Voice and the need for everyone to support the referendum.
