Mary Murphy Multi-Media Performance

This exciting multimedia performance explores the connections between visual art and music. The inspiration for the program is the Swale Pond Bird and Wildlife Sanctuary in Trenton, NY. The concert will feature pianists Tina Toglia and Nicholas German, and visual artist, Mary Murphy.

During the music, artist Mary Murphy will present her paintings and photographs of the Sanctuary in video montages. She will also paint on stage, projecting her work onto a screen. The music includes nature-inspired pieces by Germaine Tailleferre, Rachel Porter, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Claude Debussy, and Edward Marcus. The program also includes premiere performances of works by composers Ryan McQuay Meredith and JJ Hollingsworth, commissioned especially for this event.
