Masterclass: Autistic perspectives on eating disorders and ARFID
Event description
Join Autistic researcher Laurence Cobbaert for an afternoon examining Autistic experiences of eating disorders and ARFID (avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder). Although it is well known that Autistic individuals' sensory sensitivities often result in unusual approaches to food and eating, this workshop will focus on when those unusual approaches are detrimental to Autistic mental and physical health and wellbeing.
Please note: this masterclass is not an introduction to Autism, and a level of knowledge about Autism and neurodiversity will be assumed.
If you are unable to attend this workshop at the scheduled time, please note that it will be recorded. A link (valid for 30 days after the event) will be sent to all participants when the workshop concludes, which you can access at any time that is suitable to you.
